I’m one of many that enjoyed the run of swell and glassy conditions this week.It was the first post work surf I have had for many months and it felt as though winter had lost it’s icy grip. Granted the sea water was 8 degrees but the warm evening air, cloudless sky and the glassy conditions whispered of the many evening surfs to come.
Croyde was a reasonable 3 feet or so with at least three banks working. The rights seemed to be the best bet . There was a really pleasant atmosphere in the water with everyone so obviously just pleased to be there. I found this photo on MSW which I think was taken the same evening. It conveys the laid back blissed out feeling of the session.
I drove home grinning stupidly (Ed. What’s new?)
Here comes the summer. As someone once warbled.
